Sky-Watcher BK 80/400 OTA Telescope

The BK 80/400 OTA telescope is a two-element achromatic refractor, ideal for beginner astronomers. It offers a simple yet effective setup for observing the Moon, planets, bright star clusters, galaxies, and even some bright nebulae. This versatile telescope provides a good introduction to celestial observation for novices.

Although the telescope does not include a mount, it can be easily attached to a photographic tripod using the integrated adapter. However, due to the telescope's focal length, the manufacturer recommends using at least an AZ4 (azimuthal) or EQ3-2 (equatorial) astronomical mount for optimal performance.

With the ability to gather approximately 130 times more light than the human eye, the BK 80/400 allows observations of objects up to 12.1 stellar magnitudes. Its lens size provides a resolution capable of distinguishing stars with separations as small as 1.8 arcseconds.
