Description
The Astronomik CLS-CCD filter is a specialized tool designed for astrophotography under light-polluted skies, particularly for DSLR cameras modified for astronomical use. It enhances the contrast between deep-sky objects and the background by blocking artificial light sources such as sodium- and mercury-vapor lamps, while allowing important emission lines like H-alpha, H-beta, and OIII to pass through. Its wider transmission curve compared to UHC filters ensures that stars are less dimmed, making it ideal for capturing nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters with telescopes or lenses of f/2 aperture and above.
