Observation is performed in brightfield mode.

The digital head features a high definition 7-inch LCD screen and an integrated camera capable of 1920×1080 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second for video, and up to 1844×1080 pixels for photos. Images and videos can be stored on a Micro SD card. Video recording is supported, as well as a simple line measurement function.

The optical head includes an eyepiece and a quadruple, ball-bearing, reversed revolving nosepiece. The microscope comes with three achromatic objectives, all treated to resist fungus:

The specimen stage uses the StagErase™ erasable fixed stage, measuring 120×110 mm, and includes sample clips.

Focusing is achieved with a coaxial coarse and fine focusing mechanism, which features a limit stop to prevent the objective from touching the specimen.

The condenser has a numerical aperture of 0.65 and includes an iris diaphragm.

Illumination is provided by a 1W LED with adjustable brightness and rechargeable batteries. The color temperature is 6,300 K.
