• All lens surfaces exposed to air are coated with Pentax’s original multi-layer coating, while laminated surfaces have a special partial coating. This advanced treatment achieves light transmission efficiency greater than 90%, reaching up to 96% at 550nm across the visible spectrum.

• Advanced light-shielding technology, developed through computer simulation, positions a diaphragm to minimize internal reflections. This results in brighter images with improved contrast.

• The XW series is available in four focal lengths: 7mm, 10mm, 14mm, and 20mm, making it suitable for a variety of general and specialized applications.

• Weatherproof construction rated to JIS Class 4 allows for reliable use in light rain or dew. However, these eyepieces are not designed for underwater use and should not be submerged.
