BulletProof PPE Class III+ balistic plate/insert

The plates in this class are designed to stop the same bullets as class III plates and, in addition, to stop 7.62×39 steel-core bullets; in fact, this class has been specially designed for this purpose. Therefore, the outer layer of this plate is ceramic, designed to cause mushrooming and/or fragmentation of the projectile and the bottom layer of HMPE stops an already "open" projectile, of course this is at the expense of a higher weight than a Class III plate, nevertheless it weighs as much as 300grams less than a Class IV plate. 

The Class III+ plate stops bullets of calibre:

• 7.62×39 steel-core/penetrating full jacket
• 7.62×51 full jacket with standard core
• 7.62×54 SWD full jacket with standard core
• 3006SPR full metal jacket with standard core
