BulletProof PPE Class IV light balistic plate/insert

Class IV plate made of Sic (Silicon Carbide) ceramic and HMPE (Ultra High Molecular Density Polyethylene). Silicon Carbide is a little lighter than Alumina (also ceramic), but also more expensive.

The highest protection class provided by the NIJ standard. Plates of this class stop all bullets of the calibres in Army equipment. Even those with a penetrating core, i.e. with an iron core. 

They also stop bullets of calibre:

• 7.62×51 full jacket with steel/penetrating core
• 7.62×54 SWD full jacket with steel/penetrating core
• 3006SPR full steel-core/penetrating jacket.

These offer the highest protection but are the most expensive and weigh 2.5kg - 1 pc.
