Optical System and Benefits
The Cassegrain system features a primary mirror shaped as a rotational paraboloid and a secondary mirror forming a slice of a rotational hyperboloid. Although traditionally challenging to produce, GSO has perfected the manufacturing process. The extended focal length not only limits the field of view but also enhances image quality by avoiding edge distortion, allowing for high-quality reproduction in both photography and observations.
