Description

The Messier 8 telescope represents a groundbreaking advancement in Dobsonian telescopes. Despite its affordable price, this telescope offers exceptional performance and quality, rivaling much more expensive models. With an 8" (203 mm) aperture, it provides the ability to observe celestial objects within our Solar System and beyond. The telescope's large diameter enables the differentiation of individual stars within clusters, while previously inconspicuous nebulae now reveal their intricate structures. The high-quality 6" (65 mm) hexagonal focuser prevents vignetting, a common issue with narrower focusers, even when using wide-angle eyepieces.

Equipped with large wheels in the height axis, this telescope ensures precise movements even when utilizing high-magnification wide-field eyepieces. When heavier accessories are employed, a simple adjustment of the tube's position balances the telescope by loosening the clamps.

This telescope incorporates the well-regarded features of the third generation of Messier telescopes, including a rotatable hexagonal profile, collimation capability, adjustable travel force, and a single focusing system as standard. The extractor can be further enhanced with 10:1 micrometers. The design of the extractor allows for the utilization of larger and heavier accessories without experiencing any undesired displacement. The high precision of the eyepiece ensures optimal sharpness in a straightforward and swift manner.

For easy adaptation to typical equatorial mounts, the telescope offers the option to disassemble the height axis wheels from the tube's sleeve and attach a dovetail rail. The included accessories, such as the 6x30 finder and 25mm eyepiece, make the telescope ready for immediate observation.

The telescope's dismountable assembly, featuring metal connections, facilitates convenient storage and portability of the entire set.

Key Features:

  • Newtonian telescope with a main mirror made of low thermal expansion H-PZ33 glass.
  • 2.5" hexafoc with a rack & pinion mechanism.
  • Large wheels in the height axis ensure smooth and precise movements, even at high magnifications.
  • Collimator finder and 25mm eyepiece included.
  • Six-point system for optimizing the performance of the main mirror.
  • Tube clamps enable mounting on various types of mounts.
  • Metal connectors for quick assembly of the telescope base.
  • Limited diffraction optics, with a Strehl's coefficient greater than 0.8.
