Compared to Maksutov telescopes, Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes typically have shorter focal lengths, allowing for more diverse applications. Additionally, these telescopes offer the advantage of using a special focal length reducer, which can reduce the focal ratio to f/6.3 when attached to the focuser. SCT telescopes are known for their practicality, featuring a compact and lightweight design with larger apertures compared to Newton telescopes. Focusing is achieved through a knob located on the back wall of the telescope, similar to Maksutov telescopes. By adjusting the knob, the mirror position can be shifted forward or backward, thus changing the focus position at the output of the optical tube. The telescope is equipped with the StarBright XLT system, which enhances light transmission by 16% compared to traditional coatings.

This telescope enables advanced observations of the Moon and planets, while also providing the ability to view various deep sky objects such as open clusters, globular clusters, planetary nebulae, and bright galaxies under dark sky conditions. The tube is equipped with a dovetail rail in the Losmandy standard, allowing for easy mounting.
