Additionally, the Holosun Micro Red Dot HE509-RD Solar Powered now features the Lock Mode blockade, a useful function that prevents accidental changes to the sight's settings by disabling the buttons after activation.

Crafted from durable aluminum through precise milling, the sight boasts a compact and closed armor construction. The enlarged rubberized buttons and movable tray allow for easy battery replacement in the field without the need to disassemble the sight from the weapon. The use of a steel plate in the MOS standard ensures a secure mounting of the sight on the pistol, while the closed structure enhances resistance to mechanical damage and dirt.

The Holosun Micro Red Dot HE509-RD incorporates lenses with multilayer anti-reflective coatings, guaranteeing high light transmission and a clear, parallax-free image. These optical enhancements contribute to an improved shooting experience.

What sets the Holosun HE509-RD apart is its revolutionary ACSS Vulcan reticle system. Unlike traditional red dot or circle dot sights, this collimator employs a chevron (inverted V) for quick target acquisition and precise shooting at longer distances. The chevron is complemented by a large circle, which can be toggled off, to aid in aligning the reticle perfectly centered on the target. If the aim is lost, the outline of a circle appears on the lens edges, facilitating instinctive corrections and helping you realign with the intended target. With the ACSS Vulcan Reticle Sight, shooters gain a significant advantage when engaging targets swiftly and accurately over long distances.

Reliability is a key feature of Holosun collimators, and the HE509-RD is no exception. Powered by a CR1632 battery, it offers an impressive battery life of up to 50,000 hours at brightness level 6. Additionally, the Solar Failsafe solar panel supports the battery's operation in strong light conditions, automatically adjusting the brightness of the reticle. In emergency situations, the solar panel acts as a backup power source, ensuring uninterrupted performance even if the battery is depleted. Users have the option to use automatic brightness adjustment or manually customize the intensity, with 10 daytime settings and 2 night vision settings available.

The HE509-RD's extended battery life is further enhanced by the Shake Awake system, which conserves power by automatically turning off the diode after 10 minutes of inactivity. To reactivate the reticle, simply move the weapon. Users can define the time interval after which the sleep mode activates. The sight also features a memory mode that recalls the last used reticle and brightness level, as well as a low battery notification function indicated by a flickering reticle.

Please note that the Holosun HE509-RD with ACSS reticle does not share the same base as the 509T model (without ACSS reticle), making it incompatible with plates designed for the Holosun 509T model.
