Description

The ZWO ASI 662MC is a compact and powerful astronomical camera designed specifically for planetary astrophotography. This camera features a one-shot color (OSC) capability, making it convenient and efficient for capturing celestial objects in vivid colors.

At the core of the ZWO ASI 662MC is the Sony IMX662 color sensor. This sensor incorporates back-illumination (BI) and utilizes Sony Starvis 2™ technology, resulting in exceptional sensitivity across the visible and near-infrared spectrum. It offers three times the ± capacitance of the potential well, enabling it to capture more light and produce stunningly detailed images. Moreover, this sensor boasts an impressively low level of reading noise, reaching just 1.22 e for a gain of 19 dB under almost any shooting conditions.

The camera is housed in a lightweight and compact aluminum body, featuring ZWO's signature red color—a characteristic shared by their high-quality products.

Key Features of the ZWO ASI 662MC Camera:

Designed specifically for planetary astrophotography, this camera excels in capturing sharp and detailed images with negligible reading noise.

Utilizes the Sony IMX662 matrix, incorporating back-illumination and Sony Starvis 2™ technology, eliminating the amp glow effect commonly encountered.

Equipped with a 12-bit ADC for an extended dynamic range, enabling accurate representation of subtle variations in light and shadow.

Features an electronic rolling shutter to eliminate camera shake, resulting in clearer and more stable images.

Boasts a remarkably high quantum efficiency and large potential well capacity, ensuring efficient light gathering and maximizing image quality.
