Antlia H-alpha 3 nm Pro 2" narrowband filter

The "Antlia H-alpha 3 nm Pro 2" is a dedicated narrowband filter designed for astrophotography. It's engineered to capture breathtaking images of emission nebulae, by targeting and transmitting the red light emitted by ionized hydrogen atoms, specifically at a wavelength of 656.3 nm. This makes it particularly capable of documenting the critical Hα spectral line in astrophotography. It's an optimal choice for any astrophotographer looking to capture the essential and finer details of celestial bodies with high precision and clarity. Make a significant improvement to your astrophotography portfolio with this filter!

Description

The Antlia H-alpha 3 nm Pro 2" astrophotographic filter is designed specifically for capturing emission nebulae by transmitting red light with a wavelength of 656.3 nm emitted by ionized hydrogen atoms. This filter is highly effective in registering the important Hα spectral line in astrophotography.

One of the key advantages of the Antlia H-alpha 3 nm Pro 2" filter is its extremely narrow half-bandwidth of only 3 nm. This feature allows it to eliminate the unwanted components from sodium and mercury lamps while maintaining high transmittance for the Hα spectral line, which is crucial for astrophotography purposes.

It is important to note that the Hα filter is not recommended for visual observations. Its primary function is to enhance the registration of emission nebulae when used in conjunction with appropriate astrophotography equipment.

Key Features of the Antlia H-alpha 3 nm Pro 2" Filter:

Bandpass filter manufactured on a high-quality Schott substrate, ensuring maximum transmission for radiation at a wavelength of 656.3 nm.

Compatible with astrographs that have a light intensity of up to f/3, such as RASA or Hyperstar systems.

Exceptionally narrow half-width of the transmitted band (FWHM = 3 nm).

Equivalent optical density (OD5) guarantees efficient removal of light pollution at a level of 99.999%.
