Description

The Antlia OIII 3 nm Pro 50 mm filter is designed specifically for professional astrophotography, allowing the transmission of light at a precise wavelength of 500.7 nm emitted by ionized oxygen atoms. This filter is particularly useful when capturing images of emission nebulae, making it an essential tool for astrophotographers.

Like all Antlia products, the OIII 3 nm Pro filter is crafted with utmost precision and attention to detail. It has undergone rigorous surface quality tests that comply with stringent military standards, ensuring exceptional performance. With an incredibly narrow half-band width of just 3 nm, this filter effectively eliminates unwanted components from sodium and mercury lamps while maintaining high transmission for the OIII spectral line, which is crucial for astrophotography.

It's important to note that the OIII filter is not suitable for visual observations and should never be used for solar viewing purposes.

Key Features of the Antlia OIII 3 nm Pro 50 mm Filter:

Bandpass filter designed for maximum transmission at a wavelength of 500.7 nm.

Compatible with astrographs with a light intensity up to f/3, such as RASA or Hyperstar.

Exceptionally narrow half-width of the transmitted band (FWHM = 3 nm) ensures maximum contrast.

Equivalent optical density OD5 effectively filters out light pollution by up to 99.999%.
