Description

Enhance your astrophotography experience with our latest offering—a set of three high-quality narrowband filters designed to capture the beauty of nebulae even in areas heavily affected by light pollution. These filters, each with a half width of 7 nm, significantly increase the contrast between celestial objects and the night sky background, enabling you to observe and capture stunning color photographs.

The kit comprises three essential filters: a hydrogen filter (H-alpha band), an oxygen filter (O-III), and a sulfur filter (S-II). When used together, they create the renowned Hubble palette, assigning the sulfur signal (S) to the red channel, hydrogen signal (H) to the green channel, and oxygen signal (O) to the blue channel.

Key Features of the Filters:

  • FWHM: 7 nm +/- 0.5 nm
  • Glass thickness: 1.85 mm +/- 0.03 mm
  • 1/4 λ accuracy for the wave front
  • High transmission: approximately 90% for the 656 nm line (hydrogen filter), 672 nm line (sulfur filter), and 500 nm line (oxygen filter)
  • Minimal transmission (<0.1%) beyond the filters' pass-through range
  • Infrared cut in the 700 - 1100 nm range
  • Multi-coated (MC) for optimal performance
  • Filter holder length: 5.5 mm + 3.5 mm thread
  • Thread: M48 * 0.75
  • Size: 2"

By incorporating these narrowband filters into your astrophotography setup, you can capture breathtaking images of emission nebulae, planetary nebulae, and remnants of supernova explosions, even in areas heavily affected by artificial light pollution. Don't let light pollution hinder your astronomical pursuits—unleash the full potential of your imaging equipment with our reliable and versatile narrowband filters.
