The camera's optical sensor utilizes advanced "back-illuminated" technology, providing extraordinary sensitivity that captures even the faintest celestial signals. The ASI 533 MM-P effectively eliminates the "Amp Glow" effect commonly seen in CMOS sensors during long exposures, ensuring clearer and more accurate imagery.
Building on the success of the ASI 183 MM-P model, the ASI 533 MM-P features significant enhancements, such as increased well capacity, higher quantum efficiency, and an expanded dynamic range in its analog-to-digital converter.
The camera's two-stage cooling system, based on Peltier cells, ensures low dark current during long exposures by maintaining the sensor temperature up to 35°C below ambient, guaranteeing optimal performance.
Note: Due to limited availability of Sony sensors, the camera is expected to be available around May this year, according to the manufacturer.
