Sky-Watcher NEQ-6 GoTo SynScan PRO Mount with SynScan WiFi (SW-4161)

The SkyWatcher EQ6 equatorial mount is a precise instrument capable of working under heavy loads, available at a very competitive price. It performs excellently for visual observations as well as short unguided exposures with CCD cameras using most conventional telescopes. It can easily handle refractors with an aperture up to 200 mm (8") and Newtonians up to 10". The mount has a white finish and, with counterweights, weighs 26.5 kg. Its maximum load capacity is rated at 24 kg. For deep-sky astrophotography, where high guiding precision is required, the effective payload should be multiplied by a factor of 0.5.

EQ6 Head Features
The EQ6 head is equipped with engraved aluminum setting circles and a latitude scale. It includes a polar scope and its mounting bracket, a built-in bubble level, strong locking clamps on the R.A. and DEC axes, motor drives built into both axes, and an extendable counterweight bar with counterweights. Two counterweights are included in the set, each weighing 5.4 kg.

Tripod
The tripod is built with 2-inch stainless steel legs, ensuring maximum stability for the entire system. The tripod height (including EQ6) can be adjusted from 1069 mm at the lowest setting to 1544 mm at the highest, with the legs fully extended. The EQ6 mount head alone (without tripod) has a height of 406 mm. The optical tube is mounted using a dovetail bar compatible with Celestron or other astronomy equipment manufacturers.

SynScan GoTo Hand Controller
The GoTo SynScan controller is a fully featured version that allows tracking and locating celestial objects. It offers three tracking rates: sidereal, lunar, and solar, in Dual Axis mode or R.A. axis mode. Alignment procedures include One-star, Two-star, and Three-star alignment.

The database contains 25 user-definable objects as well as the full Messier, NGC, and IC catalogs, for a total of 13,436 objects. Planets and the Moon can also be located easily. Advanced functions include vibration suppression for long-exposure photography, periodic error correction (PEC), a PC control port (RS-232), and an Auto-Guide port for precise corrections during astrophotography with a guide camera.
