Description
Introducing the ZWO ASI 462 MM V2 (Official Version), a cutting-edge monochrome astrophotography camera that builds upon the success of its predecessor, the ASI 290 MM. This camera boasts an impressive array of features, including a Sony IMX462 sensor renowned for its high quantum efficiency and minimal noise, along with a 12-bit ADC converter. Together, these components deliver stunning images characterized by unmatched sharpness and tonal dynamics.
The key to the ASI 462 MM V2's remarkable performance lies in its use of the Sony IMX462 sensor, which incorporates Sony Starvis™ technology. This innovation results in unparalleled sensitivity, allowing you to capture faint signals emanating from the farthest reaches of the cosmos. Notably, this camera is free from the Amp Glow effect commonly encountered with many CMOS sensors during extended exposures. Even without active cooling, the ASI 462 MM V2 maintains an exceptionally low reading noise level, typically ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 electrons.
Encased in a sleek, compact metal housing adorned in the signature ZWO red color, this camera exudes a professional aesthetic.
Notably, the ASI 462 MM V2 (Official Version) includes a 256 MB DDR3 memory buffer. However, it's important to note that the first two hundred units of the ZWO ASI 462 MM cameras, designated as the Early Bird series, will not feature this memory buffer.
Key Features of the ZWO ASI 462 MM V2 Camera (Official Version):
