What is a stage disc?
The Astrial company's stage disc consists of two components - the main disk, showcasing the primary image, and the background disk, setting the scene with elements like trees, mountains, telescopes, etc. When the rotation function of the Homestar planetarium is activated, the main disk rotates while the background disk remains stationary. This creates an immersive experience similar to lying on a beach surrounded by palm trees and observing the sky: the stars move across the sky while the palm trees stay still.
