Crafted for use with PENTAX PF-65EDII and PF-65EDAII spotting scopes, the smc PENTAX XF8.5, XF12, and XF Zoom Eyepiece 6.5mm-19.5mm deliver high-performance, wide-angle viewing. With multi-coated optical elements and an American-standard 31.7mm (1.25 inch) sleeve, they offer focal lengths perfect for outdoor observation and birdwatching.

The XF8.5 and XF12 provide standard unifocal options, featuring 8.5mm and 12mm focal lengths, respectively, with magnifications of 46 and 32.5 times. Offering a 60-degree apparent field of view and a generous 18mm eye relief, they include an extendable eyepiece ring with four click-stop positions for precise adjustments.

The XF Zoom Eyepiece 6.5mm-19.5mm spans a focal-length range from 6.5mm to 19.5mm, providing magnifications from 20 to 60 times. With an apparent field of view ranging from 42 to 60 degrees and an eye relief of 11mm to 15mm, it features a user-friendly rubber eyepiece ring for comfortable handling and reduced risk of scratching eyeglasses.

These eyepieces include a filter-mounting screw and an adapter-mounting screw. With up to 8 lens elements in 4 groups, they are fully blackened internally to minimize reflections. Incorporating ED-glass elements, including Lanthanum glass, they reduce chromatic aberration and enhance well-balanced transmission. Extra lens elements mitigate the "black-out" effect, ensuring clear viewing.

Boasting a 70° apparent angle of view and a comfortable 20mm eye relief, they offer maximum usability and viewing comfort. Further, JIS 4 weatherproofing protects against outdoor wet conditions or nighttime dew. Additionally, the twist-up rubber eyecup enhances user comfort.
