Proposed by TeleVue President David Nagler, this eyepiece series embodies the core ethos of TeleVue optics: outstanding contrast, generous eye relief, and uncompromising field sharpness. Rigorous criteria were set to address astigmatism, field curvature, lateral color, angular magnification distortion correction, and low pupil sensitivity for daytime observation.

While inherent sharpness is a hallmark of the optical design, we've elevated contrast through meticulous engineering, utilizing flat-finished baffles and ultra-low reflectance, high-efficiency coatings precisely tailored to each optical element's composition.

This new eyepiece boasts a field area over 50% larger than an 82° field. Essentially, the TeleVue Ethos epitomizes versatility, offering the expansive true field size characteristic of longer focal length, narrower apparent field eyepieces, along with the benefits of increased power and a darker sky background.
