Astronomik CLS Filter

The Astronomik CLS stands as an economical choice, serving visual observation, black & white photography, and CCD imaging of nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters across instruments of varying sizes.

Since late 2008, we've introduced our revamped line of photographic filters, now featuring our latest "Halo-Free" filters.

This filter effectively blocks spectral lines from mercury and sodium-vapor lamps while allowing the passage of most visible light and H-alpha emissions. It permits crucial emission lines and the spectral range perceivable by a well-dark-adapted eye.

Optimized for aperture ratios from 1:3 to 1:15, our filters minimize transmission losses and chromatic distortions, typical concerns with other filters, only manifesting in extremely bright aperture ratios of 1:2 and higher. The CLS filter accommodates telescopes of all aperture sizes.

Please note: While the Clip-Filter is compatible with all camera lenses, including Canon EF lenses and those from third-party manufacturers such as Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, and Walimex, it cannot be used with Canon EF-S lenses.
