Optolong Filters Clip Filter for Canon EOS FF L-Pro

This filter is designed to enhance the contrast of deep-sky objects while minimizing the brightness of the sky background. Achieving this involves a sophisticated transmission characteristic that permits the spectral lines of deep-sky objects to pass through while suppressing various sources of light pollution. Additionally, it reduces the unwanted sky background resulting from atmospheric oxygen emissions, known as "skyglow." Particularly effective in light-polluted areas, this filter is versatile, suitable for both visual observation and photography.

In contrast to filters like UHC or CLS, which primarily target light pollution, this multi-bandpass filter minimally affects color rendition. Therefore, it's well-suited for capturing continuum sources such as galaxies, globular clusters, and reflection nebulae.
