Denkmeier Path corrector for Lunt H-alpha telescopes

This optical accessory facilitates the integration of a Binotron-27 with Power Switch into Lunt H-alpha scopes.

Installation involves threading the optic into the telescope side of the blocking filter diagonal, replacing the hollow tube of the Lunt diagonal. The optic features female 42mm T threads, compatible with the 42mm male threads of the Lunt BF Diagonal. Additionally, a 1.25" nose for the Binotron is provided, threading into the Binotron Power Switch after removing the Binotron's 2" Nosepiece.

Resultant magnification factors with the Power Switch include 1.3x/2.3x and 3x. The higher 3x power may pose challenges in achieving focus due to the limited travel of the Lunt focuser. However, attaching an extension piece to the Optical Adapter allows the entire diagonal to slide outward, enabling focus at the highest 3x magnification.

It's worth noting that the 1.3x/2.3x magnifications are generally recommended, especially considering thermal currents arising from the Sun's heat, particularly around noon.
