Starlight Xpress Camera Lodestar X2 Autoguider Color

The Lodestar X2 represents a notable advancement over the highly regarded Lodestar autoguider.

While the original Lodestar utilized the ICX429 Exview chip from Sony, renowned for its exceptional sensitivity, Sony has now upgraded it to the ICX829. This latest 'Exview 2' chip boasts significantly improved Quantum Efficiency (QE) and reduced read noise, effectively doubling the Lodestar's sensitivity and adding nearly a full magnitude to the minimum guide star brightness.

Additionally, Starlight Xpress has redesigned the boards to accommodate a standard RJ12 guide socket, addressing concerns from users regarding the fragility of the previous 'ZH' cable socket.
