Equipped with an enhanced focuser boasting sensitive focusing and premium features, SolarMax III telescopes offer versatility. The filters are removable, allowing the solar telescope to double as an achromat for observing the night sky.

Operating at a wavelength of 656 nanometers, known as H-alpha, reveals the sun's ever-active surface and prominences at its edge. The H-alpha spectrum offers a wealth of captivating solar phenomena to explore!

RichView™ Tuning: Leveraging the Doppler effect, the RichView™ tuning system allows you to adjust the filter for optimal contrast. This effect is particularly pronounced in the transition from the central solar disk to prominences at the edge.

Double Stack: Each SolarMax telescope comes equipped with double-stack technology, employing two etalon filters consecutively. This configuration narrows the half width of light passing through the H-alpha line to under 0.5 Angstroms, enhancing contrast and rendering the Sun’s structures with remarkable depth.

BF Blocking Filter: Essential for safe solar observation, the blocking filter is integrated into the deflection optics with the eyepiece receiver. This filter reduces the brightness of the solar image and should never be removed.

Sol Ranger: Aligning your telescope with the sun can be challenging and risky. The Sol Ranger finder scope, featuring a ground glass screen, enables safe and efficient solar alignment.

Delivery includes Cemax eyepieces and the Cemax-Barlow, optimized for maximum light transmission and contrast with H-alpha telescopes.
