The LX90 mount makes observing the night sky incredibly accessible, even for those with no prior experience. Simply set up the telescope and confirm the reference star suggested by the mount—the rest is handled automatically. The system includes a comprehensive database of over 30,000 celestial objects, including deep-sky objects, stars, planets, the Moon, asteroids, comets, and artificial satellites. The GoTo function allows for quick, precise, and quiet slewing to any object in the database, with nine selectable positioning speeds. The AutoStar hand controller can be updated online, ensuring your object database is always current.

Precision tracking is achieved through motorized 125mm worm drives on each axis, making the LX90 suitable for long-exposure astrophotography. The double fork mount is both lightweight and highly stable, while the adjustable steel tripod minimizes vibrations for optimal performance. The mount can be operated in both altazimuth and equatorial modes and is compatible with external computer control and autoguiders. Power can be supplied via batteries, car battery, or a plug-in adapter.

Included with the LX90 are the AutoStar hand box with software, GoTo functionality for over 30,000 objects, and a built-in battery compartment.
