The Moravian G3-16200-IIC2 MK.II Mono is a high-performance monochrome CCD camera designed for advanced astrophotography and scientific imaging. It uses the OnSemi KAF-16200 sensor, which provides a large imaging area and excellent sensitivity, making it ideal for capturing detailed images of deep-sky objects. The camera’s robust construction, efficient cooling system, and compatibility with a wide range of accessories make it a reliable choice for demanding observatory environments.

Equipped with a KAF-16200 monochrome CCD sensor
Resolution of 4540 x 3640 pixels with 6 x 6 µm pixel size
Imaging area of 27.2 x 21.8 mm, diagonal 35 mm
Quantum efficiency up to 60% for capturing faint objects
Full well capacity of about 41,000 electrons
Read noise around 10 electrons RMS
Low dark current of 0.08 electrons per second per pixel at 0°C

 

Cooling and Power:
Two-stage Peltier cooling system reduces sensor temperature by up to 55–58°C below ambient
Minimizes thermal noise for long-exposure imaging
Powered by a 12V DC supply, suitable for observatory use
