PegasusAstro eXternal Motor Controller (65165)

The PegasusAstro eXternal Motor Controller (XMC) is designed to expand the focusing capabilities of the Ultimate Powerbox v2 by supporting a second focus controller, and to add focus control to the Pocket Powerbox Advance. This controller connects directly to the EXT port of the Powerboxes, eliminating the need for a USB cable and freeing up your USB ports. It can drive both bipolar and unipolar stepper motors with high precision, supporting up to 2 Amps per coil, making it suitable for a wide range of popular focusing motors.

The XMC is compatible with many motor brands, including Pegasus Motor Focus (v1 & v2), Starlight HSM and MSM series, Starizona Micro-Touch, Rigel nStep, Moonlite, Robofocus, Lakeside, and Lacerta motors. Each motor may require its own specific cable due to different pin configurations, so be sure to use the correct cable for your setup.

This controller supports configurable microstepping (Full, Half, 1/4, and 1/8 step) for enhanced precision and smooth motor operation. It features a second EXT port, allowing you to daisy chain additional equipment or connect an environmental sensor. The device is fully protected against undervoltage, overcurrent, and overheating, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
