This kit features a high-resolution geared motor with a 0.06-degree step size, capable of lifting more than 6 kg per centimeter. The high torque motor is ideal for handling heavy imaging equipment. The motor’s gearbox has minimal backlash, which can be easily adjusted using backlash compensation in your imaging software. The RJ45 socket pinout can be converted for compatibility with Moonlite and Robofocus controllers.

Pulley and Belt System

The pulley and belt design positions the motor away from your filter wheel, preventing any collision when using a focal reducer. The sturdy bracket is compatible with all Celestron SCT models.

Controller Information

A stepper controller is required to operate the motor. PegasusAstro recommends the Dual Motor Focus Controller DMFC. You can also use the PegasusAstro Ultimate Powerbox v2 Hub, but an additional RJ45 to RJ45 cable is needed.
