This versatile mount operates in both equatorial (EQ) and alt-azimuth (AZ) modes. The equatorial mode is ideal for astrophotography, while the azimuth mode provides a convenient setup for visual observation. The drive system is powered by high-resolution stepper motors combined with a 300:1 harmonic drive, achieving outstanding guiding precision with a periodic error of less than ±10 arcseconds. The mount can be operated via a hand controller or a dedicated mobile app.

Despite its compact size and low weight, the AM5N offers impressive performance. The head includes an M12 thread for attaching a counterweight shaft, increasing the maximum payload from 15 kg (without counterweights) to 20 kg (with counterweights). Importantly, a built-in safety brake protects your optical tube from sudden drops in the event of a power failure.
