Sky-Watcher Evostar 150EDX apochromatic refractor (SW-2022)

Sky-Watcher Evostar 150EDX is the latest version of the well-regarded apochromatic refractor, equipped with high-quality ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) optics and precisely engineered mechanics. With a 150 mm aperture and a 1200 mm focal length, this telescope delivers excellent image quality for both visual observations and astrophotography.

Optical performance
The ED doublet system minimizes chromatic aberration and produces sharp, high-contrast images. The objective lens is the same as in the previous Evostar 150 ED model. Thanks to patented MHTC anti-reflective coatings, light transmission reaches up to 99.5%, resulting in outstanding contrast and fine detail, especially for planetary, lunar, and deep-sky observations.

Modern mechanical design
The EDX version features a new 3" Rack & Pinion focuser with a 1:11 microfocuser and a 360° rotator, making framing and focusing in astrophotography much easier. The focuser tube includes a scale for precise focusing adjustments.

The telescope is equipped with a retractable dew shield, robust anodized tube rings, and a top accessory rail that also serves as a practical carrying handle. A Losmandy-style mounting rail is included, and the entire set is packed in a durable aluminum carrying case.

For astrophotography, an optional matched 0.77x field flattener/reducer is available, reducing the focal length to 924 mm and the focal ratio to f/6.16. This allows for capturing larger areas of the sky and shortening exposure times.
