Canon EOS RP + RF 24-105 STM (SKU 3380C154AA)

The Canon EOS RP is impressively small and lightweight for a full-frame camera, yet it still delivers flexible, high-quality imaging. It features a 26.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor paired with a DIGIC 8 image processor, allowing you to capture detailed stills and UHD 4K video across a wide ISO range from 100 to 40,000 (expandable). This makes it suitable for many different lighting conditions. The camera also offers continuous shooting at up to 5 fps, making it capable of handling moving subjects.

The sensor works with Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF system, providing fast and accurate autofocus for both stills and video. With up to 4,779 selectable phase-detection points, the EOS RP can quickly lock onto subjects and maintain sharp focus across much of the frame.

Complementing these core features, the EOS RP includes a 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder for clear eye-level composition, along with a 3.0" vari-angle touchscreen LCD (1.04 million dots) that makes it easier to shoot from high, low or front-facing angles. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth let you transfer images, control the camera remotely, and use your smartphone for geotagging via the Canon Camera Connect app. USB charging is also supported, making it convenient to power up on the go.

Canon RF lens mount

• The EOS RP uses Canon’s RF mount, which supports RF lenses and can adapt EF and EF-S lenses using optional adapters.

• The RF mount has a wide 54 mm diameter and a short 20 mm flange distance, enabling more compact and faster lens designs than traditional SLR mounts.

• A 12-pin electronic contact system allows advanced communication between camera and lens for improved autofocus, image stabilisation and control.

• With the appropriate EF-EOS R mount adapter, you can use your existing EF and EF-S lenses while maintaining full compatibility.

26.2 MP full-frame sensor and DIGIC 8 processor

• The 26.2 MP full-frame CMOS sensor strikes a balance between resolution, low-light performance and speed.

• Working with the DIGIC 8 processor, the camera offers a native ISO range of 100–40,000 (expandable to ISO 50–102,400) to handle a wide variety of lighting situations.

• Continuous shooting up to 5 fps at full resolution makes it suitable for capturing action or fleeting moments.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF

• Dual Pixel CMOS AF uses two photodiodes per pixel, enabling on-sensor phase-detect autofocus across a large portion of the frame.

• This system delivers fast, smooth and accurate focusing for both stills and movies, reducing focus hunting and making subject tracking more reliable.

• For still photography, the system acquires focus quickly and maintains it when tracking moving subjects, helping ensure critical sharpness.

• For video, Movie Servo AF provides smooth focus transitions between subjects and different distances within the scene. AF speed, tracking sensitivity and Face/Eye Detection can be adjusted to suit your style.

• Touch AF allows you to change focus simply by tapping on the touchscreen, making rack focusing intuitive.

• The autofocus system can operate in extremely low light, focusing down to approximately −5 EV for more confident shooting in dark environments.

UHD 4K video recording

• The EOS RP can record UHD 4K (3840 × 2160) at up to 23.98 or 25 fps at 120 Mb/s, as well as Full HD 1080p and HD 720p at up to 60 fps for smoother motion and basic slow-motion effects.

• When recording internally, 4K uses 4:2:0 sampling with 8-bit colour. When using an external recorder via HDMI, 4K output supports 4:2:2 8-bit.

• Audio can be captured with the built-in stereo microphone or an external mic connected via the 3.5 mm input. Audio monitoring and recording options are suitable for simple video productions, vlogs or interviews.

• For video, 5-axis Digital IS (Dual Sensing IS) helps reduce the appearance of camera shake electronically, resulting in smoother handheld footage.

Body design and handling

• A 0.39" OLED electronic viewfinder with 2.36 million dots offers bright, detailed eye-level viewing, with 100% coverage and approximately 0.7× magnification.

• The 3.0" articulating touchscreen LCD has 1.04 million dots and can be flipped and rotated for high, low or front-facing shooting angles. The touch interface makes menu navigation, AF point selection and image review straightforward.
