Software – ZEISS ZEN 2 Starter

ZEN 2 Starter is the successor to Axiovision and is included free of charge with ZEISS microscope cameras. It enables camera configuration, image acquisition, basic measurements, and report generation.

Optional modules are available for advanced measurement routines and automated image analysis. After a short familiarization period, users can control the complete workflow, including image capture, processing, and analysis.

Images and all hardware and software settings are stored in the proprietary .czi format, allowing documentation and reproducibility of imaging conditions. The interface is streamlined to display frequently used functions prominently, while less commonly used tools remain accessible when needed.
