Description
ZEISS Camera Axiocam 712 Mono (D), 12 MP, Monochrome, CMOS, 1.1", USB 3.0, 3.45 µm, 23 fps (78515 / 426560-9090-000)
ZEISS Axiocam Family – Optimized for Scientific Microscopy
ZEISS microscope cameras are specifically designed for research, documentation, and analytical applications. Unlike standard digital cameras, they are optimized for microscopy, offering tailored combinations of sensor size, pixel dimensions, sensitivity, and frame rate to meet demanding scientific requirements.
ZEISS Axiocam 712 Mono – High-Resolution Imaging of Large Areas
The Axiocam 712 mono is a 12-megapixel monochrome microscope camera engineered for fast, high-resolution imaging across large sample areas. With reduced noise and high quantum efficiency, it is ideal for highly sensitive applications, including fluorescence microscopy.
The combination of a large sensor and small, light-sensitive pixels makes this camera highly versatile. Active temperature stabilization ensures low image noise and reliable long-term operation. Exposure times range from 100 microseconds for fast dynamic samples to 60 seconds for detecting extremely weak light signals.
At full resolution, the camera achieves more than 20 frames per second. With reduced resolution or subsampling, frame rates exceed 100 frames per second. A quantum efficiency above 72%, broad spectral sensitivity, and strong near-infrared response make the Axiocam 712 mono suitable for a wide range of monochrome imaging tasks, from large-area documentation to highly sensitive fluorescence imaging.
