ZWO Camera ASI 992 MM Pro SWIR Mono (87829)

The ZWO ASI992MM Pro sets new benchmarks in short-wave infrared (SWIR) imaging. It combines a specialized InGaAs sensor with high sensitivity up to approximately 1.7 µm, advanced two-stage cooling, low readout noise, and reliable internal data buffering.

This camera is an excellent solution for users who require imaging in the short-wave infrared spectrum, whether for astronomical observation or industrial and scientific applications.

One of its unique capabilities is the ability to capture stars through cloud cover and even during daylight conditions, thanks to its extended infrared sensitivity.

Power Requirements and Cooling

The integrated cooling system requires an external 12V power supply. Power delivered via USB alone is not sufficient. A 12V DC power source rated at 3–5A with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm connector (center positive) is recommended. Alternatively, a lithium-ion battery with an output voltage between 11 and 14 volts may be used. Operating the camera outside this voltage range may result in permanent damage.
