Hytera’s E-pack200 repeater is designed for fast and flexible deployment of communication systems. This highly portable device can operate as a standard radio for making and receiving calls, while also creating a wireless mobile ad hoc network for voice routing. A single E-pack200 can function simultaneously as a radio, repeater, and mesh node on one frequency, significantly conserving frequency resources. As a major advancement in wireless ad hoc network repeater solutions, the E-pack200 supports dual communication paths at the same time and provides precise positioning services. It delivers a comprehensive networking solution for firefighting, disaster response, VIP protection, public safety management, and similar mission-critical operations.
With its lightweight, compact design and IP67 protection rating, the E-pack200 can be installed in a vehicle, carried in a backpack, or mounted on a pole or wall. This flexibility makes it ideal for temporary communication deployments or for extending indoor coverage.
Fast deployment and instant networking
In emergency situations where time is critical, the E-pack200 supports push-to-start operation. After power-on, it automatically establishes an independent network within seconds, efficiently extending radio coverage.
Dual-channel voice transmission
The repeater can simultaneously repeat voice services on two channels using four independent carrier frequencies, with a channel spacing of 12.5 kHz.
Remote management and real-time visibility
Networks created by E-pack200 units can be monitored through a network management system. This allows operators to view network topology and electric field strength, ensuring constant awareness of network status.
Wireless mobile ad hoc networking
The E-pack200 can form a wireless ad hoc network supporting up to 31 nodes. The network is self-configuring and dynamic, allowing nodes to move freely while maintaining connectivity.
Coverage in blind areas
Thanks to its high output power, communication is less affected by terrain, building structures, multiple floors, or physical obstacles.
Flexible topology without IP links
Using wireless interconnection technology, the repeater quickly creates multi-hop narrowband networks through cascading connections. This design removes the need for IP links such as fiber optics or microwave connections.
LTE backup for reliable communication
When the PMR network is unavailable, an E-pack200 equipped with a SIM card can continue to repeat calls and data over the LTE network. It can also connect to command and dispatch systems to maintain operational continuity.
Data encryption and device protection
Multiple security mechanisms, including authentication and software and hardware encryption, protect data and user privacy. The device can be temporarily or permanently disabled through the command and dispatch system to prevent unauthorized use.
