The Motorola PMPN4289B is a six-bay IMPRES 2 desktop multi-unit charger supplied with the PMPN4283 charging base and an EU power cable. It replaces the discontinued models WPLN4213A and WPLN4220A.

This charger is designed to accommodate either a radio with an attached battery or a standalone battery. It features a communication interface that supports charging and managing multiple types of Motorola Solutions batteries, including IMPRES and IMPRES 2 models.

The fully automated charging system adapts to a wide range of batteries and offers advanced fleet management capabilities.

Due to the combination of charging functions, it is recommended to switch off the radio while charging a battery installed in the charger. Charging with the radio powered on may reduce efficiency and extend charging time.

During the calibration and regeneration process, the battery is fully discharged before being recharged. As a result, the radio may switch off during the discharge phase.
