The Motorola PMPN4290B is a six-bay IMPRES 2 desktop multi-unit charger designed for professional battery management and efficient fleet charging. This version operates with a 100–240 VAC external power supply and is equipped with a UK/HK plug, making it suitable for use in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and compatible regions.
Featuring a single integrated display, the charger provides clear battery status information to support effective monitoring and management. It accommodates either a radio with an attached battery or a standalone battery in each charging pocket.
IMPRES 2 technology enables faster charging, optimized battery conditioning, and extended battery lifespan. Advanced diagnostic capabilities allow detailed battery analysis, helping ensure reliable performance and improved long-term battery health.
Energy-saving functions automatically place charging pockets into sleep mode when inactive and reactivate them as needed. The charger also supports battery preparation modes for long-term storage and lithium-ion shipping requirements.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to switch off the radio when charging a battery installed in the charger. Charging with the radio powered on may reduce efficiency and increase charging time. During calibration or regeneration cycles, the battery may be fully discharged before recharging, which can cause the radio to power off during the discharge phase.
