A new protective cap significantly prolongs the time it takes for the front correction plate of a Maksutov or Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope to fog up, which is especially beneficial on humid European nights when dew formation is common.

In addition to its anti-fogging properties, the dew shield also acts as a barrier against stray light from the side and shields the correction plate from accidental contact and scratches.

Crafted from sturdy aluminum, this dew cap features a black velvet coating on its interior surface for added protection. It securely attaches to the lens tube using clamps and comes with its own dust cap to ensure a secure attachment.

Moreover, the cap includes special openings designed for cable management and for the use of heated rings or cameras in primary focus.
