Double Stack: Each SolarMax telescope is equipped with double stack technology, featuring two etalon filters aligned in series. This configuration reduces the half-width of the light passing through the H-alpha line to less than 0.5 Angstroms. Without double stack, the half-width remains below 0.7 Angstroms. The smaller half-width enhances contrast, rendering the Sun's structures with a three-dimensional appearance. Consequently, the image appears darker and requires precise adjustment using the tuning system due to the filter's reduced half-width.

Blocking Filter (BF): Integrated within the deflection optics alongside the eyepiece receiver, the blocking filter is a vital component of the solar telescope. It diminishes the brightness of the solar image and must never be removed. For visual observation, a small blocking filter suffices, whereas photography necessitates a larger one.

Sol Ranger: Safely aligning a telescope with the Sun can be challenging and may inadvertently expose the eyes to unprotected sunlight. The Sol Ranger finder scope, equipped with a ground glass screen, facilitates quick, safe, and accurate pointing of your telescope toward the Sun.

Included with the delivery is a Cemax eyepiece, specially optimized for H-alpha observation. These eyepieces boast optimized coatings without any filtering effect, enabling their use during nighttime observations as well.
