TS Optics Flattener/Reducer 0.8x M54/M48 (67550)

The TS Optics Flattener/Reducer 0.8x M54/M48 is designed to improve astrophotography results by correcting the slight field curvature produced by a telescope’s primary optics. Without a flattener, stars at the edge of the field of view can appear less sharp. This flattener ensures stars remain crisp across the entire image. Additionally, as a reducer, it shortens the focal length, resulting in a faster optical system, shorter exposure times, and a wider field of view—ideal for capturing larger astronomical objects. The flattener/reducer is installed between the telescope and the camera.
