Askar Apochromatic refractor AP 151/1057 151PHQ OTA (80299)

The AP 151/1057 optics are designed as a Flatfield Astrograph with a moderate aperture ratio, offering a user-friendly experience for astrophotographers. There’s no need to purchase or fine-tune additional flatteners—simply attach any camera, focus, and the optical system is ready for imaging.

This telescope uses a triplet lens design with two ED glass elements to provide excellent control over chromatic aberrations. An integrated fourth lens acts as a field flattener, supporting a 60 mm image circle for medium format CMOS cameras. The system offers minimal edge distortion and a central RMS radius under 2 micrometres, ensuring sharp, pinpoint stars across the field.

The Askar 151PHQ is a versatile allrounder, suitable for nearly every application. Its large corrected field of view captures extended objects, and fine details are preserved with high-resolution cameras. Using cameras with various flange focal distances is easy—just focus, and you’re at the correct distance. The focuser features a large adjustment range and supports the use of 2" diagonal mirrors, transforming the telescope into a wide-field or planetary instrument depending on the eyepiece.
