TeleVue 0.8x Reducer/Flattener for 102P Telescope (Model 15852)

The TeleVue 0.8x Reducer/Flattener is designed to improve image sharpness across the entire field by correcting focus away from the center. It reduces the telescope’s focal length to 80% of its original value while simultaneously flattening the image field. This results in a wider field of view and better edge performance, making it ideal for astrophotography with sensors up to 35 mm full-frame format.

Although optimized for the TeleVue TV-102 telescope, this reducer/flattener is also compatible with other non-flat-field refractors, such as doublet or triplet designs, with focal lengths between 800 mm and 1000 mm. It enhances edge-to-edge sharpness while providing a faster effective focal ratio for shorter exposure times.
