Anti-distortion shutter:

Fast sensor reading minimizes distortion

when using the electronic shutter. BIONZ XRTM and the large buffer provide 1.5 times less distortion than the a9 II.

Electronic and mechanical anti-flicker shutters:

50.1MP full-frame Exmor RS layered CMOS sensor with memory:

Wide sensitivity range ISO100 - 32,000:

Despite the sensor's high pixel count, backlit structure, uniform chip lens, AR-coated sealed glass allows for standard ISO range of ISO100 - 32,000, expandable to ISO50 - 102,400.

5-axis optical stabilization for times longer than 5.5 stops:

The precise stabilization unit, gyro sensors and stabilization algorithms offer an increased shutter speed of up to 5.5 steps, optimizing the quality of high-resolution images.

4K video with a high frame rate of 120 fps:

A1 supports internal recording of high frame rate 4K movies up to 120 fps, for smooth and expressive playback in solw-motion up to 5x. 10-bit 4: 2: 2 chroma subsampling can be used with Long-GOP or Intra (All-I) compression for exceptional image quality, while the new image sensor and BIONZ XR processor minimize image distortion.
