Combining exceptional photographic performance with adequate video capabilities, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II is a versatile mirrorless body for creators of multimedia content. An updated 24.2MP CMOS sensor pairs with updated processing for more improved AF, impressive 10-bit 4K 60p video, and faster overall performance. Additionally, the camera body has been updated for more intuitive handling, including a redesigned top plate for easier access to different shooting modes.

Hitting a sweet spot in terms of resolution, the R6 Mark II incorporates a new 24.2MP CMOS sensor that is versatile for both photo and video applications, performs well in low-light conditions, and produces stunning, accurate colors.

DIGIC X processor

Borrowed from the R3, the R6 Mark II's updated processing suits the camera's multimedia nature. Capable of processing high-speed bursts and high-resolution 4K video, DIGIC X supports continuous shooting at up to 40fps with a silent electronic shutter or 12fps with a mechanical shutter, with AF and AE readings before each frame. There's also a 30fps RAW Burst mode, which offers pre-shot capture to record moments that happened up to 0.5 seconds before you press the shutter.

Additionally, better processing leads to better low-light performance, with the sensitivity range now extending from ISO 100-102400 and expandable to ISO 204800 for working in very difficult lighting conditions.

4K UHD video recording

In addition to still images, the R6 Mark II's sensor also offers high resolution UHD 4K 60p internal video using the full width of the sensor and the ability to work with 10-bit sampling with Canon Log 3. 6K recording also for oversampling 4K shots at 30p for better clarity, reduced moiré and reduced noise. Also, for slow motion playback, 180p recording is supported up to Full HD resolution.

HDR-PQ recording is also possible for in-camera HDR production and external recording, via the micro-HDMI port, which supports clean 6K output at up to 60fps. Plus, unlimited recording times are also possible, and the R6 Mark II is equipped with microphone and headphone ports, as well as a multi-function shoe for broad accessory compatibility.

Raw 6K external recording

Using the micro-HDMI port, raw video recording is possible when paired with a compatible external recorder. ProRes RAW up to 6K 60p is possible using the full width of the sensor and 3.7K raw recording with a crop.

Autofocus and image stabilization

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II

The advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system features 1053 automatic AF points that cover the entire sensor area and provide particularly fast, responsive and precise focusing performance.

This phase detection focusing system has also improved subject detection and tracking, benefited from deep learning technology, with the ability to intelligently recognize people, animals and vehicles. Subject detection will automatically lock onto these subjects and maintain sharp focus while shooting, even during burst captures and when recording video.

Dual Pixel AF II's low luminance limit focuses up to an impressive -6.5 EV for precise focusing even in night conditions.

Canon RF 24-105mm f / 4 L IS USM lens

Stylish and versatile, the Canon RF 24-105mm f / 4-7.1 IS STM is an all-round zoom that covers focal lengths from wide angle to telephoto to benefit from working in a wide variety of conditions. A variable maximum aperture also helps maintain a remarkably compact profile to meet everyday shooting needs. Complementing the flexible design is a unique central macro focus position, which allows you to work with close-up subjects at a maximum magnification ratio of 1: 2, and an optical Image Stabilizer also helps to achieve sharp images by minimizing the appearance of camera shake. Additionally, an STM motor delivers exceptionally quiet and smooth autofocus performance and full-time manual focus override. Additionally, a configurable control dial allows you to adjust exposure settings, including ISO, aperture, and exposure compensation, from the lens itself.
