Description

Entel designed the industrial-grade DTEx DMR Digital Series with uncompromising standards. This ATEX-certified portable radio operates on the licence-free PMR446 band and delivers exceptionally loud and clear audio, ideal for high-noise environments. The ultra-tactile buttons and high-torque controls ensure ease of use, even with gloved hands, making the DTEx perfect for demanding conditions.

With a market-leading IP68 submersible rating, the DTEx can endure submersion up to 2 meters for 4 hours, offering robust protection against extreme environments and everyday wear. This durability is enhanced by its compliance with MILSTD 810C/D/E/F, ensuring the radio withstands shock, vibration, dust, and moisture for many years of reliable service.

The DTEx Series supports both analogue and DMR modes, providing 16 channels within a single zone. It also features AES 256-bit encryption (available via an optional licence), group and individual calling, and programmable buttons, allowing users to customize their experience.

Two-Slot Simplex functionality is another standout feature, offering two separate channels on a single 12.5KHz analogue channel without the need for a repeater. This significantly increases the number of available channels for users. The radio’s talker alias (TX only) and optional encryption further enhance communication security, especially in sensitive operations.

The rugged, gold-plated accessory connector and locking mechanism ensure that accessories remain securely attached even in rough conditions. These connections are submersible and resistant to corrosion, making the DTEx a reliable companion in the most challenging environments. Additionally, Entel's accessory audio tailoring optimizes sound for each accessory, ensuring consistent, high-quality performance.

The radio is equipped with the latest Lithium-ion battery technology, eliminating the ‘memory effect’ and ensuring a full charge every time. The DTEx also benefits from TDMA Digital mode signalling, extending battery endurance by up to 40%, providing up to 18 hours of operation in digital mode and 16 hours in analogue mode.

Superior audio quality is delivered through advanced noise reduction technology, ensuring loud and clear communication in any setting. Entel’s proprietary Smart Speech Tailoring technology automatically detects the connected accessory and adjusts the audio for optimal clarity and performance.

The DTEx is also field-upgradable via Entel’s End User Programmer app, allowing radios to be updated remotely without the need for on-site visits, saving both time and expense.

Additional features include a keylock to prevent accidental operation, a programmable channel monitor button to temporarily disable channel protection, and the ability to conduct individual and group calls. The DTEx also supports table scan lists, pre-programmed by the user’s Entel dealer, and an all-call function for emergency broadcasts.

Entel offers a wide range of accessories, including bone-conductive microphones for high-noise environments, ensuring the DTEx delivers intelligible communication even in the most demanding conditions. The series also supports 3rd party Breathing Apparatus communication kits, further enhancing its versatility.

For those requiring the highest level of security, AES 256-bit encryption is available as a licensed feature, ensuring communication privacy.

ATEX IIC T4 certification confirms that the DT900 series complies with the strictest ATEX standards, making it suitable for use in hazardous environments as per EU directive 2014/34/EU.
