This device features both a standard LED light and an infrared (IR) LED. The IR LED supports night vision, making it especially useful for search and rescue (SAR) operations conducted at night or in low-light environments.
The Tron 60AIS is compatible with the Galileo Return Link System, which is part of Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System and has been operational since January 2020.
The EPIRB has been tested for both operational and performance requirements according to the international standard IEC 61097-2 Edition 4 (April 2021).
