This advanced online training program covers Jotron EPIRBs, including the Tron 40VDR AIS and Tron 60 AIS models. The course focuses on IMO Shore-Based Maintenance (SBM) requirements, battery replacement procedures, and testing in accordance with IMO MSC/Circ. 1039 as well as Jotron’s internal standards.
Participants will learn about IMO regulations related to SBM and how to carry out Shore-Based Maintenance on Jotron products in full compliance with both IMO and company requirements.
After successfully completing the training and receiving SBM qualification approval from Jotron, customers must also apply for additional authorization from the VDR manufacturer to perform SBM on Tron 40VDR units.
