The Hikmicro Thunder Pro TQ50C is a hunting thermal imaging cap equipped with a 640 × 480 / 12 µm sensor with 35 mK sensitivity, a high-quality 1024 × 768 px (748 × 561 px in cap mode), a static rangefinder, and a lightweight and lightweight aluminum alloy body resistant to immersion in water, snow and rain.

Construction of the HIKMICRO TQ50C thermal imager

TheHIKMICRO Thunder PRO TQ50C has a lightweight and durable body made of aluminum alloy (magnalia). This makes the Thunder Pro TQ50C, at 187.2 × 62.5 × 59.2 mm, the lightest cap in its class on the market. The aluminum construction also guarantees resistance to shock, impact and weather conditions. The body has been protected against water, dust and moisture (IP67 rating), so the cap is resistant to any weather conditions that may occur during hunting. It is extremely important to be quiet during the hunt for game, so rubber buttons with noiseless operation have been used to operate the cap.

We offer the necessary accessories to make the HIKMICRO thermal imager your favorite tool for hunting and observation. The add-ons are fully compatible with all HIKMICRO Thunder and Thunder PRO thermal imagers, so anyone can customize them to suit their needs.

The Thunder Pro TQ50C camera can act as 3 devices:

• a thermal imaging cap (scope adapter to be purchased separately),
• a thermal imaging sight (eyecup and mount to be purchased separately),
• and an observation monocular.

Excellent image performance

The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TQ50C uses a sensitive 640 × 480 px sensor with <35mk sensitivity, a high-quality 1024×768 px OLED display, a 50mm lens, and a functional rangefinder. The lower the NETD value, the better the sensor detects temperature differences of objects, which contributes to excellent image quality. Such parameters ensure a clear image in any environmental conditions, so the cap can be used in total darkness, fog, smoke, dust, as well as rain and snow. The thermal imager has an optical magnification of 2.6 × and target detection at a distance of up to 2,600 meters.

In sight mode, the HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TQ50C has the popular PiP (picture-in-picture) function that allows the hunter to simultaneously and precisely observe the target while maintaining a wide field of view. Thunder also uses digital zoom in the 2×, 4× and 8× ranges.

The hunter has 4 of the most popular display modes available, and can choose between:

White hot - warm in bright color. The higher the temperature, the brighter the tone.

Black hot - warm in dark color. The higher the temperature, the darker the tonality.

Red hot - image as in "black hot" with red highlighting of the warmest elements.

Fusion - from high temperature to low temperature, the image is colored from white, yellow, red, pink to purple.

Thermal image technologies:

DDE (digital detail enhancement) - digital detail enhancement, smooths the image while emphasizing details,

3DDNR (3D digital noise reduction) - digital noise reduction, effectively removes noise and affects image quality,

AGC (automatic gain control) - automatic gain control, improves the contrast of the displayed scene.

Variable targeting reticles (thermal sight mode)

TheHIKMICRO Thunder PRO TQ50C offers 5 versions of target reticles in 3 colors, as well as the option to completely disable the reticle when using it in cap mode or for ordinary observation. An addition that all hunters will appreciate is the static rangefinder, which allows distance measurement based on factory values or user-defined settings. The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TQ50C provides not only excellent support during hunting, but also in observation and patrol activities.

Functionality of the HIKMICRO Thunder hunting thermal imager

The Thunder PRO TQ50C thermal imager is powered by two CR123 3.0 V batteries (included) or RCR123 3.0 V or 3.7 V rechargeable batteries. The operating time reaches 4.5 hours and can be increased by connecting a power-bank (USB-C port). The device has 16 GB of built-in memory to store captured photos or video footage. In addition, images can be transmitted via Wi-Fi to a phone or other device on which an appropriate app (Android or iOS) has been installed.

Free updates

Like all HIKMICRO cameras, also the Thunder PRO TQ50C cap can be updated on its own by the user when an appropriate update appears introducing not only the removal of bugs found, but also extending the capabilities of the device with new features.

Share the screen in real time

The function redirects the image from the sight to the smartphone, so that at the same moment both the shooter and the companion can have a view of the area visible through the lens. In addition, it is possible to connect one sighting device to multiple phones allowing the image to be transmitted to the entire group. By rotating the screen, we can switch to landscape mode or receive the viewfinder image horizontally.

Remote control with a smartphone

Thanks to the HIKMICRO Sight app, we get the possibility to control the viewfinder with a smartphone. Thanks to this, settings such as brightness, zoom, color modes or even calibration are possible to change on the phone screen.

Sharing on social media

If we want to share our impressions of using the viewfinder with a social group, the application allows us to upload the material at any time.

Saving recordings and photos on the device

The application allows you to save video and audio recordings on your phone, allowing you to return to your favorite memories at any time.
