Sky-Watcher N-203/1200 SYNTA 8 Dobson Pyrex Telescope (AKA Dob 8" Classic 200P)

The Sky-Watcher N-203/1200 SYNTA 8 DOBSON Pyrex telescope (also known as Dob 8" Classic 200P), is an excellent choice for stargazing enthusiasts. This device is ideal for viewing nebular objects, spherical clusters, and mesmerizing galaxies. Utilizing additional filters such as the nebula filter enhances image quality, particularly in regions impacted by artificial light. Additionally, this telescope provides the opportunity to explore all planets within our solar system and observe many of their moons. However, it's essential to understand that while this telescope offers a broad range of viewing capabilities, the precision at high magnifications may be marginally inferior to microscopes equipped with micromovement. A perfect tool for novice and intermediate astronomers, the Dob 8" Classic 200P brings the universe closer to you.

Description

This telescope is perfect for observing nebular objects, spherical clusters, and stunning galaxies. By using additional filters, especially the nebula filter, we can enhance the image quality of nebulae, especially in areas affected by artificial light. It's important to note that the telescope also allows for the observation of all the planets in our solar system, as well as many of their moons. However, the precision at high magnifications is slightly lower compared to microscopes with micromovement.

The telescope also performs admirably when observing our natural satellite, the moon. However, when dealing with the bright light emitted during a nearly full moon, it is recommended to use a filter, preferably a neutral gray (neutral density) one. With a large mirror of just over 20 centimeters, this telescope collects over 800 times more light than the human eye.

The mirror is crafted from Pyrex glass, a boron-silicon glass composition consisting of 8% boron oxide and 85% silicon oxide. The addition of boron oxide makes the mirror lighter and, more importantly, reduces its coefficient of thermal expansion, resulting in improved image quality.

While the size of the mirror is significant, the telescope is also well-designed and equipped with various features. It has a focal length of 1200 mm, providing a light f/6 ratio. The perfect 2-inch Crayford focuser can be reduced to 1.25 inches. It includes a large 9x50 finder, two K-25mm and 10mm eyepieces, and a user-friendly Dobsonian azimuth mount. Additionally, it has a T-2 thread that allows for the attachment of a DSLR camera, enabling photography of bright objects (appropriate reduction adapters are available for Canon, Nikon, Sony Alpha, Pentax, and Olympus cameras).

The Dobsonian mount is the simplest and most affordable type of telescope mount, which works exceptionally well for visual observations. The assembly is manually controlled, allowing movement in the horizontal (azimuthal) and vertical (altitude) axes, making it ideal for low and medium magnifications.

The telescope consists of an optical tube measuring 112x23 cm and weighing 8 kg, along with a 12 kg azimuthal mount. It is originally packed in two cardboard boxes and is collimated and ready for observation once the assembly is completed.

In addition to its astronomical applications, this telescope is also well-suited for observing and photographing aircraft at cruising altitudes.

INCLUDED TELESCOPE PACKAGE FOR IMMEDIATE NIGHTTIME OBSERVATIONS - COMES WITH ALL ESSENTIAL ACCESSORIES, OPTICAL TUBE ASSEMBLY, EYEPIECE SET, AND MOUNT
